Impromptu meetings may be made using the RoomWizard panel. Push "Use Now".
The online database will be automatically updated.
EVO
EVO virtual rooms should be reserved using the EVO website. Tell participants the Community and Room name.
Telephone Conferences
Conferences with three or more sites must be reserved using the
TRIUMF Audioconferencing Service.
Tell participants the telephone number (1-866-365-4409) and access code
()). International users call +1-303-248-9656.
H.323 Conferences
Conferences with less than four remote sites may use the
native multipoint capability in the Viewstation
Conferences with three or more sites, one of which is a US lab, may use the
ESnet Collaboration Service. Note: if using the
ESnet Ad-Hoc service
you must tell all participants the meeting number to dial (e.g. 8212345). You may
put this in the "resource configuration" or "meeting notes" when creating the meeting, and it will
be sent to attendees in the initial email. Meeting notes are visible under "Printer Ready
Reservation".

Note:
As of Jan 2006, the ESnet MCU (used for H.323 multipoint conferences)
is on maintenance the third Wednesday of every month from 4 PM to 7PM PST.
Conferences without US participation may be able to use the BCnet MCU;
see the BCnet video policy.
Booking the BCnet MCU is done by Ming Chau (admin(at)bc.net, 604-822-1348
option 1). Currently, only registered (and tested) endpoints may connect.
The room should not in general be used for meetings which do not require videoconference equipment.
Preference will be given to users requiring, in particular, the Visual Presenter or
AccessGrid software.
