Camera HOWTO
The Sony EVI-D100 Pan/Tilt/Zoom Cameras
are used for VRVS and
AccessGrid videoconferencing.
Using the
camera remote ,
select the appropriate camera:
1 - front centre
2 - front left
3 - centre rear
Switch on the camera using the green "power" button. A
green LED on the camera base should be lit.
Set the zoom and direction using the controls on the remote
It is also possible to control the camera with the camclnt Java application from the VRVS
toolkit or on ag.triumf.ca via this launcher .

Note that the capture cards are identical, so they have the same name
in vic - "v4l-BT878(Hauppauge (bt878))". The last one
detected (/dev/video2) appears at the top of the list.
