The AG system is a dual-CPU Linux PC running RedHat 9.0.
The primary purpose of the AG system is to drive the projectors
(Hitachi projector) and the
sound system, and to perform video capture.
The LCD display, keyboard and main mouse are shared with
the XP system using the
KVM switch. Press the button on the KVM switch to toggle
between the two systems.
X11
The system has two Matrox dual-head display adapters; a
G550 AGP card able to drive either two analog displays or two digital
displays, and a G40 PCI card able to drive either one analog and
one digital, or two digital displays.
The display used by the BIOS and initial boot is the first G550
display.
Under X11, one or more displays may be enabled.
